It’s that day where I wax poetic on whatever crosses my mind. Beware!
I have a theory that Americans would be less obese if everyone actually took their shopping carts back inside the store (or at least to the cart corral) instead of leaving them strewn around the parking lots. Wonder if someone would fund a study on that?
Mrs. Butterworth tweets. Go figure.
Phone reception in my office is so weird. I’ll see four bars, but if I move the phone three inches to the right, it drops to nothing. And amazingly, as soon as I dock it in the brand, spanking-new, iHome iP9 clock radio I bought for it last night and try to stream from the web, reception goes to nothing, no matter where the phone is. Why is that?
Sad because WebDoggie Kenya’s brain aliens seem to be active lately and causing a recurrence of her previous symptoms. Had wild hopes that the vets were wrong about the c-word and she’d be well for a lot longer. But seriously – the prednisone munchies must be horrible for her since she’s waking me up every two hours for a snack.
Cesar Milan – the dog whisperer guy – wrote a tweet yesterday that our dogs reflect the energy of the owners. Not sure what it means when the WebDoggies spend most of the day sleeping. Is that a reflection of my energy? (I don’t get to sleep like dogs do…)
It’s been downright cool this week, in the low 70’s instead of a sweltering July here in the STL area. I’m loving it and I’m hoping you are having great summer weather too! If this is global warming, I’m not complaining.
Do you recycle? Our village doesn’t have a recycling program and neither does our garbage service. My coworker has introduced to to some easy ways to recycle, so I’ve been saving the newspapers, plastic bottles, cans, and glass items. We put the newspapers in brown paper bags and everything else in those giant Ziploc storage bags and I haul stuff over to the base recycling center every couple of months. I’d like to think that the effort pays off in the long run, but I wonder sometimes. Is it?
What’s on your mind today? Any words of wisdom? Got a good joke? It’s your turn to wax poetic, or even mindlessly!
