I’m a year behind (that’s all?) but I stumbled across this really fun video called Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog. It’s produced by Joss Whedon (of Buffy the Vampire Slayer fame) and his brothers. What is it, you’re asking?
It’s a 43 minute musical film, produced exclusively for the web, telling the story of Dr. Horrible – an evil villain wannabe, Captain Hammer (the hero, of course) and Penny, the girl they both are trying to win. Apparently the story was written during the writer’s strike last year. It stars Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother, Doogie Houser, MD) as Dr. Horrible, Felicia Day (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) as Penny, Nathan Fillion (Firefly, Serenity, One Life to Live, Castle) as Captain Hammer, and Simon Helberg (Big Bang Theory) as Dr. Horrible’s best friend.
