Is It Time For Winter Yet?

With the temps reaching the 100 degree mark, you wouldn’t normally be thinking about winter – or maybe this week’s pattern is just wishful thinking? It’s much too hot to wear sweaters right now, but that doesn’t mean the weather won’t change in a few hours…I mean, weeks.

So I was hunting around for an easy sweater pattern to use up some of my stash on and ran across this one. Sized from small to 2X (thank goodness the pattern designers are starting to remember plus-sized gals), this one is knit up in a super-bulky weight yarn on size 13 (9mm) needles. I like the the contrast of garter and stockinette displayed nicely by the large stitch definition. Some fun buttons liven it up too.

From the people at Lion Brand, they suggest using their Wool-Ease Thick and Quick, which comes in 25 colors, or why don’t you dig through your stash for something that needs a sweater like this?
