Mindless Wanderings

Haven’t had a topic really scream at me to blog about, so let’s see where we can wander today.

Pet peeve 1:  There you are, shopping shopping shopping on the internet, maybe even picking out a Christmas present for your favorite blogger.  (Oh wait, that’s not me?)  You spot a pretty shiny thing and want to see it bigger, so you can study on it.  So you click the picture or the little enlarge link, and wait somewhat patiently while a window pops up and…

the picture is no bigger than the one on the main website.  It’s just wrong.

I like my tea to have a little flavor to it.  Last winter Stash Tea’s White Christmas - a white tea with ginger and peppermint – was my favorite.  This year it’s Harney & Son’s Hot Cinnamon Sunset tea.

To those that scoff that the chances of winning the lottery are 1:8 gazillion : SOMEBODY always wins in the end.  Might as well be me.

I feel sorry for people who don’t like dogs or cats.  There’s something satisfying to the soul to have a dog settle down next to you (or, in my case, in my lap) for a little nap.  And there’s nothing more relaxing than curling up with them and napping yourself.

Pet peeve 2:  Flash websites.  That “loading” graphic.  Almost as annoying as the recording on the phone while you’re on hold.  “Your call is very important to us.  Please hold for the next available customer service representative.  Your call will be answered in approximately 42 minutes.”  ‘Nuff said.

Is it cold and wet or snowing where you are?  Fix a nice big bowl of soup and dig in!  (In fact, I’m thinking it’s time to make a pot of roasted garlic soup and serve it with some crusty bread.)

Is it sunny and warm where you are?  Can I spend the rest of the winter with you?
